DVR (Digital Video Recorder)
DVRs are recording devices used mainly for analogue cameras. The DVR converts the composite video into digital video via ports fitted on the back of the unit and is fitted with 1 or more hard disk drives for recording.
The DVRs we provide feature USB ports for footage backup, HDMI and VGA output for live viewing and operation, a network interface card for viewing in web browsers and management by PC software such as SMART PSS, iVMS and dry contacts for alarm system integration.
We can also provide DVRs fitted with PelcoD ports for the analogue PTZ cameras together with the analogue joystick used for controlling the camera. The DVRs we supply range from 4 channel to 64 channel and we provide whichever brand the customer is affiliated to
XVRs are now replacing DVRs, where DVRs can only deal with 1 or two types of streams, XVRs can support all modern and old streams - HDCVI/HDTVI/AHD/CVBS and IP.
This would be the ideal solution for customers that would consider changing to IP cameras down the line, or have the old CVBS cameras and would like to install additional AHD, HDCVI or IP cameras etc.
